So I've uploaded the flyer for the Halloween event that I am throwing in San Diego--now I will provide you with some more details... This is the largest live painting event I've ever thrown and the largest in San Diego. The party itself is inspired by the movie 'se7en'--David Fincher's legendary movie who's ending left more than one person sickened after the showing. Now it's my turn to take one of my favorite movies and turn it into a full immersion, full live painting experience and give this city and the people who live here something to be proud of when they talk of a Halloween show. So if you are in the San Diego area on Oct. 24th, I would plan on attending this 'cause there's not much more going on in this city. check out [link] , the official party site for more details including the over $4000 worth of original artwork that Sean Dietrich is giving away for free! Here's the official press release..........

San Diego will Experience an “Industriacide” Halloween

San Diego, CA – On the 24th of October from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. at the Mainline, 1676 Main Street, in San Diego, the ghosts of mankind’s downfall will be holding high holy mass.

Mommy and Daddy done gone missing and the babysitter is lying unconscious and violated, prone in the corner underneath the drooling jack o’ lantern with the guilty grin o’ sin. Now it’s just you and me baby. Does that scare you? It should.

This ain’t your granpappy’s pumpkin patch—this is the Industriacide pre-Halloween experience, more than 8,000 square feet of deadly temptation inspired by director David Fincher’s dark 1995 film, “Seven.”

This will be the largest live art recreation event to ever be held in San Diego and considering the twisted mayhem that is likely to take place, it could very well be the last. Those in attendance will be completely immersed in the screaming mind and bloody works of serial killer John Doe. Complete recreations from the movie will include the killer’s apartment and the murders scenes of an attorney forced to cut out a pound of his own flesh, and a fat whose stomach exploded after gorging on spaghetti.

The club will breathe and move unexpectedly, putting those in attendance ill at ease. But the focus of the night will be the live painting interpretations of the seven deadly sins by local artists, including Billy Martinez, Kai Martin, Vincent Gordon and Christine and Chanel Penley.

The event is the brainchild of Sean Dietrich, the legendary artist behind comics such as Industriacide, Fervor, Mess and the soon to be published, The Nazi and the Rabbit. Dietrich is approaching his 10 year anniversary of live art performances in San Diego and he will be featured in the night’s main event, slashing his paints across the hide of an eight foot canvas as he conjures the haunted and the damned.

“Some will embrace it and live it, others will get sick and leave—this event is not here to please everyone, it's here to make a statement that live art is alive and well in San Diego,” Dietrich said. “Like John Doe's character in the movie, it just takes someone time and patience and a plan to pull off something amazing. Something that will be talked about and puzzled over for years to come.”

The event will feature merchandise from San Diego’s famed music, art and fashion retailer Feelit, and music by DJs Schugar, Mindkiller, Skullcrusher, Ian Dunn and more. One of the highlights of the evening will be Dietrich giving away over $4000 in original art to some lucky party goers. How will he do this? Wouldn't you like to know...it could be for best costume, so rack your creative minds for a killer outfit, it could be just a random person in the club, or Sean could just throw the artwork from the stage and let the wolves come out of the masses in their attempt at taking home a piece of history....you'll just have to come to find out.

The event is being produced by Dietrich and Silk Road Productions. Must be 21 or older. For tickets or information, go to HYPERLINK "[link]" [link] or HYPERLINK "[link]" [link].
